Results after 115 days of pilot. Early on, people would deposit only just before making a payment. Now that seems to only happen 1/3 of the time and 2/3 of the time people are depositing with the Cash Points in advance and keeping their “savings” safe. Also, we’re seeing the benefits of using the mobile phone equipment. Mobile phones and SIMs are so commoditized, mainstream and off-the-shelf that whenever there is an equipment problem, the shop next door can offer customer support! A very scalable and low-cost model for the bank, MFI and technology service provider.
